Take Home Naloxone Sites

This webpage is for approved and registered Take Home Naloxone (THN) distribution sites. Here you will find program forms and information for registered sites, expiry notices, and important updates.

Take Home Naloxone Expansion of Nasal Naloxone - UPDATE – June 22nd, 2026

BCCDC is pleased to advise that nasal naloxone kits are now available to order for all registered Take Home Naloxone (THN) distribution sites. 

  • Please use the updated THN Supply Order Form for all THN orders moving forward 
    • Satellite sites should continue to order directly from their primary distribution site

Intramuscular (injectable) naloxone continues to be available. 

Resources:

Nasal naloxone is not currently available through the BCCDC’s Facility Overdose Response Box (FORB) program. FORB sites should continue to order intramuscular (injectable) naloxone for staff response.

      THN Supply Order Form

      Registered sites may order naloxone kits and training materials by completing the supply order form and submitting to naloxone@bccdc.ca for processing.

      Orders are processed every Thursday. Orders must be received by end-of-day 11:59pm Wednesday for processing that week, or orders will be carried over into the following week.

      Please allow 10 working days for delivery and plan ahead to avoid shortages. Email naloxone@bccdc.ca for queries, follow-ups or changes to orders.

      THN Kit Transfer Record

      This form is required for THN kit transfers between registered Primary sites and their Satellite sites. 

      IMPORTANT: Primary sites that transfer kits to other locations must ensure their Satellite Sites have been registered with the BCCDC. All potential sites should use the Satellite Site Registration Form to register and obtain a site ID number. 

      THN Overdose Response Information Form

      The overdose administration form is included inside every THN kit. The completion of these forms provides valuable information to the BCCDC which helps to inform our program.

      Please assist clients with completing this form if a kit has been reported as 'used'.

      THN Site Contact Changes

      Registered site can use the Site Contact Change Form to notify the program of any changes to contact information or personnel.

  • THN Distribution Reporting
      THN Distribution Reporting

      Distribution data provides valuable information to the BCCDC which can help to inform our program.

      • THN sites will be invited to share information on THN kits given out to individuals over a specified two week period annually.

      Site coordinators will be contacted via email with an invitation to participate and additional details. Please see the FAQ for more information.

      How to Report Faulty Supplies

      If your site has received faulty supplies, please provide the BCCDC with the following details:

      o   product code

      o   lot/serial #

      o   site contact name and contact info

      o   description of the problem

      o   availability of samples

      For faulty Take Home Naloxone, please email details to naloxone@bccdc.ca and CC your local Harm Reduction Coordinator. 

      You may be contacted directly by the BCCDC pharmacy should they require  further information or need to arrange a sample to be returned to their warehouse.
